Fronted by vocalists/guitarists Sadie Belica and Alex Springs, The Waking Point is the modern doom/epic rock project created by Sadie Belica. After the success of her solo album Rose Colored Violence, Sadie expanded the band during the pandemic to include grunge nerd Alex Springs on lead guitar and Carl Jester Buena on bass. The Waking Point has been featured in places such as the Loudwire Weekly Wire and The Heidi and Frank Show on 95.5 KLOS. Their upcoming single "My Control" out May 7th includes a new collaboration with drummer Dan Konopka (Ok Go). The combination of a dreamy acid rock sound, trippy percussion, orchestral synths, and moody vocal arrangements is the overlying theme on their next album “The Enemy of Love” out this Fall, which deals with rejection, climate change, and post apocalyptic life. Some of their creative influences include Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Veruca Salt, Black Sabbath, Korn, and Nine Inch Nails.
